Fréret-Roy 1818 watches are no longer manufactured in the historic factory of Sainte Austreberthe dedicated to monumental clockmaking, but are manufactured in Switzerland by small independent workshops located in the Swiss Jura.
The mention of the year 1818 is a reminder that my ancestors have been making timepieces in our name since 1818, for two hundred years. No marketing concept, just a reminder of true legitimacy. Nothing invented, authenticity is my rule. Unfortunately, the Roy watchmaking branch is no longer in existence, but I wanted to bring it back to life by combining my two family names Fréret (my father) and Roy (my mother).
Thus, the Cœur Ouvert® Nouvelle Vague V1 model, launched at the end of 2011 and produced in 99 pieces, has been a great success and is now out of stock, as are the other models in this first collection.
The V2 series already has four model families, all published in limited series.
Coeur Ouvert® Nouvelle Vague V2 in steel or black steel, 120H and 120H Retrograde Open Heart®, presented with dials in various colours or made to measure, are the main innovations that inaugurated our exclusive new case. A « custom » dial power reserve chronograph for which you can choose details and colours is also available on order.
A brand new and exceptional « Cœur Ouvert ® Chronographe » is now available in a limited subscription of 36 pieces (2 x 18) to celebrate the Roy family’s 200-year history in the traditional watchmaking industry! 1818 – 2018 ! A birthday to celebrate with dignity.
